Coffeyville man arrested on burglary charges

The Coffeyville Police Department is investigating a series of crimes which has led to the arrest of Joseph Dewayne Gingery, age 19, of Coffeyville.

 

Gingery is alleged to have stolen a vehicle from 713 S. Union on May 22. He is further alleged to have broken into and burglarized the Dr. Jerry Hamm Early Childhood Learning Center, 201 S. Walnut Street, on May 31. Gingery fled from officers but was soon apprehended after a short foot pursuit on June 3.

Gingery was arrested based on probable cause of the following crimes; Burglary, Felony Theft, Criminal Damage, No Valid Driver’s License, Possession of a Narcotic, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Obstructing/Resisting Arrest.

 

The police department is asking that anyone who may have purchased a computer, or any other property from Gingery in the last couple weeks, to contact Detective Chad Newby at 620- 252-6145.
