Suspect sought in Coffeyville double homicide

COFFEYVILLE — The Coffeyville Police Department continues to investigate a shooting incident which occurred near 303 S.Linden late Saturday night, Sept. 28. During this incident two individuals were fatally shot, and a third shooting victim was treated and released from the hospital. 

The two deceased victims have been identified as James D. Logan, age 32, of Coffeyville, and Latrell D. Boyd, age 31, of Pine Bluff, Ark. The third victim who received non-life threatening injuries was identified as Jeremy T. Jordan, age 20, of Coffeyville.

A suspect identified as Brazell J. Scott, aka “Pete,” age 30, is wanted for questioning in connection with this shooting. Scott may be armed and dangerous and should not be approached if located. Scott may have left the Coffeyville area and his current whereabouts are unknown. The public is asked to immediately contact their local police department if he is located.


This investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
