Donald Lee Moyer

TYRO — Donald Lee Moyer, age 83, of rural Tyro and formerly of Coffeyville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at Forrest Manor Nursing Center in Dewey, Okla.

 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at the Tyro Christian Church with David Bycroft officiating.  Burial will be in Fawn Creek Cemetery northeast of Tyro.

 

Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

The family suggests memorials to the Tyro Christian Church; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.

HAVANA — Mary Ellen Ward, age 70, of Havana died of leukemia on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.

 

Celebration of Life graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, at the Harrisonville Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

 

Visitation hours will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Caney.

 

The family has suggested memorials to Shelby Foreman for medical expenses, and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney.

 

 

 

Peggy J. Endicott

CANEY — Peggy Jean Endicott, age 87, passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at Caney Nursing Center in Caney.

 

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan with Pastor Bob Clemence officiating.

 

A time of fellowship followed the service at the Caney United Methodist Church in Caney. Potts Chapel Caney has been entrusted with arrangements.

COFFEYVILLE — Wilma M. (Foland) Kahre, age 94, of Coffeyville died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.

COFFEYVILLE — Ida Mae Blackmer, age 84, of Coffeyville died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012.

 

A funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Assembly of God Church under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.

INDEPENDENCE — Arlene (Fisher) Brown, age 82, of Independence died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at Regal Estates.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Webb & Rodrick Funeral Home. Burial followed in Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence.

 

Memorials are suggested to Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church and First United Methodist Church and memorials will be received at the funeral home.

Linda Eytcheson

INDEPENDENCE — Linda Eytcheson, age 73, of Independence died Tuesday evening, Aug. 28, 2012) at her home.

 

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial services were held Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Church of the Epiphany, Episcopal in Independence under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel.

 

The family has suggested memorial remembrances to the Church of the Epiphany, Episcopal.  Remembrances may be left at the funeral home.

COFFEYVILLE — Maxine Wadkins, age 92, of Coffeyville died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 at Windsor Place.

 

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Restlawn Memorial Park.

 

Arrangements were handled through David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

Ralph Schukman

HAYS, Kan. -— Ralph Schukman, age 90, of Hays, Kan., died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.  Services will be Friday, Sept. 7, with the Cline Mortuary in Hays.

 

He was the father and grandfather of former Independence residents Carol (Baker) Wallsmith, Tamara Gengler, Kevin Baker, John Baker and Laura Tubbs and great-grandfather of Zachary D. Webb and Jacqueline Webb of Independence.
