INDEPENDENCE — Montgomery County resident Danny Dean Monk passed away June 20, 2012 after a short battle with lung cancer.

 

Cremation has taken place followed by a private family service. The family suggests making donations to The American Cancer Society or hospice of your choice.

COFFEYVILLE — Greg E. Davis, age 34, died June 5, 2012 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

 

A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m., Monday, July 2 at at the Coffeyville Community College Nellis Hall Gym.

Graveside Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 29, at the Liberty Cemetery in Liberty with the Rev. Robin Haines of the Assembly of God Church in Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel of Independence.

INDEPENDENCE — Ivan Flurry, age 83, of Independence died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Independence.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 28, at the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel with Elder Melvin Simpson, pastor of the Young’s Chapel Church of God in Christ, officiating.  Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery.

SOUTH COFFEYVILLE — Debra Jean Victory, age 36, of South Coffeyville died Tuesday, June 19, 2012.

COFFEYVILLE — Joyce Nadine Owens, age 87, of Coffeyville died Friday, June 8, 2012 ,at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 20, at the St. James United Methodist Church in Coffeyville under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.

LONGTON — Virginia L. Huntington, wife of Gerald (Cork) Huntington, of Longton, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at the Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 81 years old.

INDEPENDENCE — Steven “Steve” M. Affolter, age 55, of Independence died Friday, June 8, 2012, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

 

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 15, at the Church of the Nazarene under the direction of the Potts Chapel of Independence.
